Nestled
in a fertile
region of West
Texas near the New
Mexico border, Friona is
distinguished by its diverse agricultural
industry.  Dedicated people have made
the land productive through irrigation and
dry-land farming techniques.  The diverse industry
exhibits variety in the farming industry such as crop production,
crop processing, and other supporting industries.  The cattle interests
such as feeding operations, meat packing and processing plants, and
financial institutions are the essential aspects of the agri-business community.
